This can be\ncaused by a variety of reasons, such as hormonal changes, genetic\nfactors, obesity, medication use, or certain health problems.\nGynecomastia can cause psychological discomfort, lack of\nself-confidence and loss of self-confidence in men. Gynecomastia\nsurgery is a surgical procedure to remove or reshape excess breast\ntissue. The procedure is performed by a plastic surgeon and is\nusually done under local or general anesthesia. During the procedure,\nexcess breast tissue gets removed with surgical incisions and the\nshape of the breast gets corrected. \nThe\nfollowing steps are generally followed for gynecomastia surgery:\nAnesthesia:\nThe surgery is usually performed under local anesthesia.  In some\ncases, general anesthesia may be used. Incisions: Plastic surgery\nmakes small incisions around the nipple or under the breast.  The\nincisions are strategically placed to reduce scars as much as\npossible. This helps the\nbreast tissue to heal properly.
